Micronclean re-aligns its cleanroom consumable product families NewsCleanroom30.07.2019

Micronclean has taken the decision to re-align some of its consumable product families in order to simplify both the structure and product ordering.

Origin

When Micronclean launched its cleanroom consumables product range the naming convention consisted of four integrated parts which gave a complete description of the product. The four integrated parts of the convention were:

• A unique product number as a nine-character product code;

• A family name which identified the type of product;

• A number within the family which identified the key product feature and finally;

• A complete product description.

In Practice

As our product range has grown in size and complexity this approach has become fragmented, especially with regard to the numbering within product families containing ‘active’ chemicals, although the product number has remained the unique identifier.

Going Forward

As a result, we have taken the decision to restate the naming conventions and undertake the task of realigning the naming of our products. In all cases the unique product code remains the same.

So, going forward the key elements of the restated naming convention will be:

• the product family based on the product range (see Table 1);

• the number within a family will be based on either the wipe material for dry and pre-saturated wipes (see Table 2) or the active chemical for liquid products of disposable mops (see Table 3);

• a more meaningful full product name (see Table 4).

This change will happen during the course of 2019 as our stock refreshes. Please note, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
