Our company purpose encapsulates our passion to consistently introduce new ways for our staff to work, our customers to operate and the industries we serve to function. Whilst many other departments contribute to developing new technological solutions, the IT department are a great example of how this is achieved. Often our employees are required to call upon the expertise of our IT team in order to help achieve their vision or goal.
Our IT Department works in unison with other departments across the company creating, developing and improving Micronclean’s systems, making them more accurate, more efficient and ensuring they produce innovative ways of working.
Just some of the projects our IT department have used to change Micronclean include:
Protrack - UK
Protrack is our in-house system used to gather information. Implementing scanners that can read barcodes or transponder tags on our garments/bags allows us to collect a vast amount of knowledge on our garments, their processes and much more. Protrack is a tool that changed the way Micronclean worked and the level of service we can provide. Some examples of what Protrack allows us to do include:
- Scan garments through the whole process, from being sent in by the customer all the way to their return trip to our customers site
- Track validated repairs made to any garment
- Efficient garment installations
- Efficient garment audits
- Generate tailored customer reports which can be emailed direct to the customer
Protrack – India
A version of our hugely successful in-house information system is being adapted to fit the needs and requirements of our new cleanroom garment laundry in Bangalore, India. This includes alterations to the flow so that it matches the production process for this plant, as well as icon-driven buttons/information that helps create a universal understanding across all 5 languages spoken within Bangalore.
Internal IT Support Ticket System
A system designed for our employees to be able to quickly log an IT issue via a webpage or email address. The ticket is then assigned to a member of the IT department and actioned from there. This system enables us to prioritise, track and rectify issues in a timely manner, however it also allows our staff that work remotely to log an issue without having to come to the site. Often the issue can also be resolved remotely by one of the team members.
In addition to offering a great contribution towards achieving our companies purpose, our IT department of course provide many other services including data management, data security (including GDPR compliance), maintenance and much more. In a digital age everything seems to be dependent on technology, that is why our experienced team are an invaluable asset to the company.
